Exercise in spontaneous pseudo-rant
OR
Too much idle time at work one day!

For the love of God, now is the time to do the things that you know should be done, that which should have been done long ago.    You know and I know that all things are equal at the sub-atomic level, and that all things are unique in the eyes of the creator, and this is the great paradox.    People are moving here and there, to the left and to the right, to the middle and to the outside.    People need to understand that nothing is of lasting consequence, and that nothing matters in the end - yet everything has great significance, and this is another of the great paradoxes. However, these things need not be paradoxical to our thinking, they should rather be as second nature to our innate intelligence.    If we could but link into the great All, then all would be known - but that is not for us in this life, it is almost the opposite that was intended.    We came here NOT to know the All, but to painstakingly discover every little tiny piece of it one piece at a time. To wonder at our discoveries, to yearn to discover more and more until all is known - and yet we must all certainly know that we will never know the All in it's totality.    Even the creator of the All does not know the All in it's totality, for he in part exists as us, and we are utterly ignorant.

And so Fats Domino sings on the radio about finding a thrill on Blueberry hill.    Is that all we are concerned with, finding the thrill on the hill - concerned only with what is the next thing that will satisfy our narcissistic need to be satisfied? And then the Beatles sing about what words are exchanged with their "love", and the great need that they have for each other.    Do we really "need" each other so? Is that part of how we were created - that there should be so much need?    It would seem that all our time is consumed with what we need - food, love, money, sex, gas, toys, entertainment, etc........ ad infinitem.    Is it within this framework that the great experiences that we seek are to become realized? I for one find that hard to believe, but believe it I must, for as it exists, so shall it be justified to exist as it is.

The little man that pushes the trash cart around looks like Napoleon to me - someone should discover him and star him in a movie about Napoleon. I wonder if he would be capable of acting?

I am at work, and I find that I have time to blabber these thoughts onto paper, and perhaps they mean nothing, and perhaps they don't.    Nothing more I think than the rambling of a mind that has sat idle too long, with no truly profound thought rushing through it for some time now.    Me thinks My mind is like a dry river bed, ripe and ready for the flood to descend from the nearby mountains after the spring thaw - to wash away the built up dust and debris - the tumbleweeds that clog my synapse and ground the spark that desires passage.

Is "whatever" really the most profound expression in existence?    Can all the teachings of Zen be contained in this one simple word - this word that with one simple stroke paints the true picture of reality - that all that happens is just "whatever - Oh well - it's all the same anyway"?

Cool !!
